AI continues to reshape event technology, with innovation now focused less on novelty and more on meaningful automation. The latest wave of launches points to a maturing ecosystem where smarter tools are becoming standard, not optional.

The event technology industry continues its rapid evolution as AI integration moves from buzzword to backbone. The last two months have seen a resurgence of acquisitions, fresh product launches and updates, and deeper collaborations between established players and  startups. From AI agents that source and plan events to new global booking APIs and smart translation tools, this month’s updates highlight how automation and artificial intelligence are redefining how meetings and events are managed worldwide.

Acquisitions

ADITUS has acquired Info Salons Middle East from GRS Research & Strategy, the company led by Enrico Gallorini that had itself acquired the local offices of the company from Freeman in June 2022. The move expands ADITUS’s footprint to Dubai, with former VP Commercial Chris Lloyd assuming management of the company alongside ADITUS' leadership.

Brandlive has acquired Hubilo, Brandlive’s fifth acquisition in 18 months, adding a 30-person R&D hub in Bengaluru, India. Former Hubilo CEO said the company “will launch new products for Brandlive customers over the next few months” in a departure post on LinkedIn. Badging company fielddrive, acquired by Hubilo in February 2023, is not included in the deal and will continue to operate as a fully independent company.

Product Launches

The team behind event management platform Attendu has launched Envelope, billed as the “world’s first AI agent for event planning.” The AI agent focuses on streamlining guest management, seating, registration, and communications through AI-powered batch actions and analytics.

Event Business Formula Founder Eric Rozenberg has launched Eric AI, a virtual business advisor for event professionals based on his knowledge and experience. The chat-based tool provides 24/7 guidance on strategy, growth, leadership, and client management. It is designed to complement — rather than replace — mentorship with Rozenberg.

Event Tech Stack has debuted as an AI-powered event management platform that combines registration, streaming, engagement, analytics, and an AI Event Builder.

Highbar, an AI-native chatbot event app, officially launched at IMEX America 2025. The. Founded by the team behind Attendify, the platform lets organizers quickly build self-service apps with features including conversational Q&A, AI-powered matchmaking, and personalized icebreakers.

Scurati, an AI-powered keynote speaker recommendation service was launched by Dogan Altindag, the former Head of Operations EMEA at Global Speakers Bureau. The platform aims to shorten sourcing time and standardize selection by recommending four speakers based on input from planners, with a human consultant confirming fees and availability.

Product Updates

AddEvent has launched a major update, AddEvent 2.0, to its calendar engagement platform, promising faster performance, along with real-time insights, no-code landing pages, multi-calendar views, and syncing with existing calendars.

Blackthorn, the Salesforce-native event management platform, has launched three new onsite tools adding AI-powered lead capture, real-time attendee updates, and automated branded badge creation using Salesforce data to its offering.

Eventscase has launched EVA Insights as a module part of its EVA (Event Virtual Assistant) suite that uses WhatsApp to collect and analyse attendee interactions, converting them into real-time, actionable data.

Groupize.ai has introduced the aime™ Meetings Assistant, turning its platform into what it calls “the first AI-powered marketplace for corporate venue and vendor sourcing.” The tool automates RFPs, sourcing, and supplier intelligence across the spaces on offer in the platform. It is integrated with The Vendry, the event community and marketplace acquired in July 2024, to enrich profiles with live data and planner insights.

IACC, the association for venue professionals, has launched the IACC Venue Assistant, an AI-driven venue finder featuring more than 400 IACC-certified hotels, resorts, and conference venues in 18 countries that offers AI venue matching along with a traditional search option.

Interprefy has launched Interprefy Agent, an AI-powered multilingual translation agent able to join online meetings and deliver live audio translation in more than 80 languages, automatically switching between up to 10 source languages or manually up to 25. 

Planned has launched a series of AI agents designed to automate event sourcing tasks in combination with human service. The agents focus on destination recommendations, supplier outreach, RFP processing, proposal comparisons, and contract summaries.

Wordly has rolled out a speaker disambiguation feature that automatically indicates when a new speaker begins talking. For recordings with multiple microphones, users can assign names to each input, which will appear in the captions.

Partnerships

hubli has partnered with IHG Hotels & Resorts to launch a real-time group booking API connecting 6,600+ IHG properties worldwide. The integration links hubli’s booking platform directly with IHG’s Amadeus Delphi and Meeting Broker systems, automating pricing and availability updates. 

IMEX Group has renewed its partnership with ExpoPlatform through 2028, covering lead scanning, matchmaking, and analytics. The continued partnership will focus on smarter data use, AI-driven personalization, and further integrations.

Informa has partnered with Conference AI, an AI-powered content capture system that automates session recording and editing, allowing for the repurposing of content into digital assets and new revenue streams. The pilot began at SupplySide Global in Las Vegas, with plans to expand across its global event portfolio in sectors including life sciences, finance, and cybersecurity. 

Onyx CenterSource has expanded its GroupPay platform to over 700 Hyatt properties across the Americas to automate commission reconciliation and payments for meetings and events. 

PCMA and the German Convention Bureau (GCB) have formed a strategic partnership linking the Destinaitor AI-powered destination research, a platform co-developed by PCMA and dFakto, with the GCB’s Open Data MICE Germany initiative. The collaboration integrates open, machine-readable data on meetings and events from German destinations into Destinaitor.

People on the Move

ExpoPlatform has appointed Céline Laukemann as head of partnerships to lead the growth of NetWorks, its standalone AI-powered speed networking product.

Groupize.ai has appointed Ramki Ramaswamy as chief technology officer to lead agentic AI and enterprise intelligence initiatives. Ramaswamy was formerly the vice president of technology at JetBlue and chief information officer at Boeing.

Onyx CenterSource has appointed Michael Suhajda as chief financial officer. Suhajda was formerly at Monster and CareerBuilder Worldwide.
