One of the most popular resort destinations in Southeast Asia, Bali has a new option for large-scale meetings.

With the addition of event facilities at Ayana Bali in September, planners will have a new option for larger meetings in Bali.

The highlight of the new convention center is a pillarless grand ballroom, accommodating up to 2,300 attendees, which opens up to a veranda with panoramic ocean views.

In addition, the surrounding event spaces have been designed to accommodate a range of event formats, from a large foyer for registration and networking to 20 rooms for breakout sessions.

The 993-room resort, located just 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport, has undergone several transformations. It originally opened in 1996 as the Ritz-Carlton Bali, then underwent extensive renovations and rebranding to reopen as Ayana Resort and Spa, Bali in 2009. Rimba by Ayana Bali, a luxury resort within the resort, opened in September of 2013, followed by a new wing, Ayana Segara Bali, in 2022.

There are 31 dining venues, 14 swimming pools, the Ayana Spa, extensive wellness and recreation facilities, and a resort-wide tram system.

Other major convention facilities in Bali include the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, with 66,843 square feet of meeting space in 44 meeting rooms; and the Bali International Convention Centre at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, which has a 506-seat auditorium and 21,108-square-foot Mangapura Hall, in addition to other meeting rooms.

Michi Sonoda, executive assistant manager at Ayana Hospitality, reports strong early interest in Ayana Bali for Q4 2026 and 2027, primarily for incentive programs and corporate conferences. “Incentive travel remains the strongest fit for Bali, but the grand ballroom is helping open the conversation with planners looking for larger meeting and conference capability.”
