Convene is looking beyond offering premium meeting and event venues in the U.S. and UK. Through a new partnership, it now offers complimentary hotel room block sourcing.

Convene is partnering with LM Media Worldwide to help its clients secure hotel room blocks. This newly announced partnership will help clients secure exclusive rates, availability, and promotions across hotels of all price points.

“Our internal data from 2023 shows a continuing trend towards larger, albeit less frequent, meetings and events. That, coupled with the expectation that business travel is set to return in a big way this year, led us to our partnership with LM Media Worldwide,” says Phoenix Porcelli, CMP, head of sales at Convene. “As our clients think about fewer, bigger, better events in global destinations, we wanted to be able to ensure we could accommodate their every need and help make the planning process as comprehensive and seamless as possible.”

In 2023, LM Media Worldwide sourced, contracted, and negotiated over 400,000 hotel room nights globally. Laura Krueger and Michelle Donson, both former global sales executives, founded the company in 2013. It owns and operates Kleinfeld Hotel Blocks, a site focused on wedding hotel room blocks.

The Convene portfolio of brands includes etc.venues, which it acquired in February 2023 for a reported $250 million. It recently announced a conversion of some larger etc.venues to the Convene brand. Convene venues can host larger, experiential events, while etc.venues best accomodate smaller meetings. Both brands offer on-site catering, in-room AV, and technology.

The Convene portfolio of brands is the largest single provider of dedicated meeting and event venues in the U.S. and UK, with a network of 39 locations across nine global cities.
