Skift Take

In the meetings and events industry, excellence stands out. With the Skift Meetings Awards now accepting entries for the 2024 program, this is your chance to celebrate your achievements.

Now in its second year, the Skift Meetings Awards will once again celebrate the business events industry’s most respected and innovative suppliers, shining a light on those that stand apart by demonstrating an understanding of planner needs, reliable service delivery and far-from-par offerings.

With 15 categories for across three distinct groups – Hotels, Other Suppliers and Tech Providers – the 2024 categories have been designed to provide an opportunity for suppliers in the meetings and events industry to serve as a guiding star to other planners looking for meeting services and venues they can rely on when choosing a supplier partner.

So, now that we have the formalities out of the way and you are ready to start your submission, you’re probably asking yourself, ‘Where do I start?’. Here’s a quick guide to help get you started:

  1. Choose your category: Take a look at the 2024 categories here and select the one that best aligns with your project – but don’t forget, you can always enter more than one category if relevant. From user-centric apps to hotels and convention centers offering best in class service, there’s a category for all.
  1. Create your account: Our new and improved entry process is very intuitive, and the 2024 submission form is split into five distinct sections. Head to our Award Platform, create your account and familiarize yourself with the way the platform works. You can also download a blank PDF form for your reference ahead of submitting.
  1. Review the Guidelines: Read the submission guidelines and requirements outlined within the form thoroughly, and ensure the information you provide aligns with any highlighted category criteria. Be sure to take note of all deadlines, formatting guidelines, and any specific instructions for each category.
  1. Draft your submission: This is your time to shine, so clearly articulate your offering, its benefits, and any measurable results or success stories. You will have the opportunity to provide visuals, data and testimonials to bolster your case, so take advantage of these elements.
  1. Proof, proof, proof: Double-check all of the details and attachments included in your submission are accurate to avoid any last-minute amendments, as we may use snippets of the information you provide us with in marketing materials (should your submission successfully move through the process).
  1. Submit Your Entry: Whether your submission is complete or you’d like to come back to it at a later date, you can submit your entry to make the most of the early submission prices with the confidence that you can make any edits up until the final entry deadline on June 11, 2024.

So, are you ready to share your achievements? Don’t miss your chance to be a part of the 2024 Skift Meetings Awards. Download our comprehensive guide to entering the awards today.
