10 New Cruise Ships Setting Sail in the Caribbean and Europe

Skift Take

Among the latest ships making their debut this year are yachts from two new players, Orient Express and Four Seasons.

Meeting and incentive planners have a wide variety of new cruise options for 2026, from Royal Caribbean’s 5,610-passenger Legend of the Seas megaliner to the first-ever Four Seasons yacht, one of the most expensive ships ever built on a per-berth basis.

These 10 new ships caught the attention of Skift Meetings’ editors.

1. Four Seasons I

For incentives, this new 190-passenger all-suite ship is the first of a new fleet of three Four Seasons yachts. The 14-deck Four Seasons I has 95 outside suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings, 11 restaurants and lounges, a spa, and wellness programs. A canoe-shaped aft was designed as a private space for events, accommodating 200 for a reception. The ship will visit more than 130 destinations, primarily in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

2. Disney Destiny

The newly launched Disney Destiny offers four- and five-night itineraries to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean, sailing out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. A “Heroes and Villains” theme is prominent throughout the ship; for example, the Grand Hall was inspired by the Kingdom of Wakanda in Marvel’s Black Panther film. There are 1,256 staterooms, 90% of which are outside cabins. The ship includes a variety of venues for meetings, including the two-story Saga Lounge, theaters, and specialized meeting areas.

Highlights include the $27,000‑a‑night Skyview Regent Suite, which Regent says is the world’s largest all‑inclusive ultra‑luxury cruise suite, and seven restaurants. The ship will sail from Miami to the Caribbean and the Panama Canal, and along Spain’s Iberian Peninsula and France’s Atlantic coast. Meeting spaces include the Constellation Theater, which can accommodate 400 attendees, as well as a variety of other lounges and breakout rooms.

4. Emerald Kaia

For incentive groups, the newest member of Emerald’s ocean fleet, the Emerald Kaia, is the largest vessel in the line’s superyacht collection, accommodating 128 passengers. It will sail Europe’s coastlines, the Caribbean, the Seychelles archipelago, and the Red Sea. Luxury experiences include chef‑led dining.

Restaurant options range from a food hall to a French bistro. For an exclusive experience, The Haven is a ship‑within‑a‑ship with its own private restaurant and 123 penthouses and villas, accessible via keycard. Meeting spaces range from the Penrose Atrium, a three-deck gathering space for receptions, to The Stadium, an outdoor space suitable for team-building. Cruises to the Caribbean and Bermuda sail from Miami and New York.

6. Viking Libra

Viking Libra, launching in November, is billed as the world’s first hydrogen‑powered cruise ship, capable of zero-emissions operation. It can accommodate 998 passengers in 499 staterooms, each with its own veranda. Groups can meet in the theater, Explorers’ Lounge, or Wintergarden (which serves afternoon tea), as well as a boardroom within the Owner’s Suite, with its own fireplace, accommodating 12. Its summer voyages will begin along the French and Italian Riviera, then the Mediterranean and Adriatic, with the winter spent cruising the Caribbean.

8. Star Explorer

Windstar Cruises' 224-passenger Star Explorer will sail year-round in Europe starting in December, joining its sister ship, Star Seeker, and expanding the Windstar fleet to eight ships. It will make the line's first call to Puerto Banús in Marbella, Spain, and will include other ports that larger ships are unable to reach, such as Rouen and Bordeaux in France. Most of the 112 suites will come with verandas and floor-to-ceiling windows. The ship will feature an open-bridge policy, where guests are able visit the captain and crew. The Horizon Owner's Suite and main lounge can be made available for group meetings.

The 5,610-passenger Legend of the  Seas, the third of Royal Caribbean’s Icon class, will make its debut in July. The megaliner promises to be as experience‑intensive as the Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas before it, with a waterpark with six slides, a FlowRider, an obstacle course, and what is being called the largest ice arena at sea. There are 28 dining venues. It will begin by sailing itineraries in the Western Mediterranean, with departures from Barcelona and Rome, then move to Fort Lauderdale for sailings in the Southern Caribbean. The ship will have a dedicated conference center that can accommodate 400 theater-style, plus additional smaller rooms.

10. Celebrity Xcel

Sailing seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale, the new Celebrity Xcel’s distinguishing features are its infinite verandas, which allow the balcony to become part of the indoor living space at the touch of a button; a three-story "Bazaar" entertainment/dining venue, the goal of which is to bring the destination onto the ship, with a food hall, market, live entertainment, and cultural experiences; and a Hydra Room, a new therapeutic spa  experience. There is a large dedicated conference room on board, the Meeting Place, which can accommodate 200 attendees.
