The Venetian Resort Las Vegas has unveiled the first completed phase of its $188 million convention center renovation.
The renovation started in 2023 and will continue through 2026. It is the first significant investment from new owners Apollo Global Management and VICI Properties, which acquired The Venetian Resort Las Vegas from the Las Vegas Sands Corporation in February 2022.
“This city is the most competitive meetings market in the world but what’s different about our approach is that we’re thinking about the entire experience and investing $1.5 billion throughout the resort. So, by next year we’ll have new suites, new culinary, and new entertainment,” said Patrick Nichols, CEO of The Venetian Resort.
Four thousand updated suites in The Venetian towers, including signature suites, will be unveiled next month.
An unveiling event last week, hosted in partnership with TED, featured a discussion with Venetian Resort executives.
Chief Sales Officer Tony Yousfi noted significant technological investments, including enhanced digital signage and the capability to broadcast directly to attendee suites.
The renovation, designed by Woogmaster Studio, reflects feedback from the resort’s meetings and events clients throughout its 25-year history. The updated design includes a new color palette, upgraded lounge areas, and advanced technology.
The redesign also includes enhanced lighting, audiovisual updates, and digital screens to provide a modern setting for meetings and events.
The resort is also continuing to build on its sustainability credentials. In late 2023, it launched Food Rescue Alliance, a collaboration with The Just One Project. This innovative initiative focuses on large-scale food rescue with a streamlined process that allows fresh, healthy, prepared meals to benefit those challenged with food insecurity in Las Vegas.
