A major cycling industry trade show is the latest gathering to be canceled in the Minneapolis area as federal immigration enforcement actions continue to disrupt the region’s meetings, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

As immigration enforcement continues in the Minneapolis area, most meetings and travel industry associations have avoided public statements. Skift Meetings reached out to 14 associations, but received responses from only four. 

ICE-related shootings and protests in Minnesota have triggered hotel closures, event cancellations, and attendance declines, forcing planners to weigh safety, attendee sentiment, and economic impact when deciding whether to proceed.
