Help Shape the New Event Manager Blog

Skift Take

My team and I want to hear from you

Dear Reader,

I am Julius Solaris, the editor of meetings.skift.com. We may know each other or you may have just joined our community. Either way I wanted to personally reach out to you.

Meetings.skift.com was born in 2007. It was and still is the result of my passion for events and innovation. In the past 8 years we’ve transformed a simple blog into one of the most reputable sources of inspiration, innovation and education in the industry.

In a very tough and competitive environment, where millions are being poured into creating content, we’ve built one of the few independent voices of the industry.

Let me share some of my team’s achievements:

– We’ve doubled the traffic year on year and we are set to become one of the most visited websites in the event industry within six months at current growth rate.

– In 2008, one year after creating the blog, I started a LinkedIn group that counts more than 260,000 members and is the largest online community of event professionals.

– Our 4 publications The Good Event Registration Guide, The Event App Bible, Social Media for Events and our 10 Event Trends report totalled over 60,000 downloads to date.

– We have totalled over 500,000 viewers on our presentations.

– Our reach on social media passes the 40,000 contacts.

These unprecendented numbers for the event industry have been delivered thanks to a small but growing team of individuals who love innovation, technology and events.

In the next couple of months, we will bring you a new and improved EventMB experience and I am sure you are going to love it.

It would be unjust to do this without you. Because, you see, every initiative at EventMB is motivated by you, the reader. Through the years, we have published free researches that other organisations charge big money for, and every week we strive to create the most attentive and unbiased content, in order to deliver a unique quality experience to our readers. We never accepted a single press release and whenever we have worked with brands we have always disclosed our relationships publicly.

. We want to know you better so we can create better, more relevant content.

I ask for less than 10 minutes of your time, to fill in this survey.

What you will get in exchange is no silly 20$ voucher. You get our promise to deliver better, more focused and quality content.

I hope you are as excited as I am to walk together in the future of our amazing industry!

Sincerely,
Julius
