Loews to Open Second Hotel in Arlington

  • Skift Take
The upcoming debut of the Loews Hotel Arlington features 888 guest rooms and 266,000 sq. ft. of meeting space centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Loews will debut its largest and newest hotel on February 13 with the opening of the Loews Arlington Hotel. The $550 million resort-style destination boasts 200,000 sq. ft. of indoor meeting space with an additional 66,000 sq. ft. of outdoor meeting space, which includes an event lawn. The 51,000 sq. ft. ballroom quartered at the new hotel will be the largest in North Texas.

Meeting planners seeking additional space can access the 35,000 sq. ft. of event space and 300 guest rooms located at neighboring Live! by Loews Arlington, which is connected via skybridge. AT&T Stadium Arlington and Globe Life Field are also nearby. The main transportation hub, the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), is a 28-minute drive away.

    Luxury Amenities

Planners can treat event attendees to a luxurious experience outside of meetings with a full-service spa and salon, a beach club with two separate pools and cabanas, firepits, and an authentic sandy beach.

Executive Chef Mouhssine Benhamacht leads the culinary offerings at Loews Hotel Arlington. The property’s five new restaurants and bars all have a sustainability focus. Farena offers an elevated Italian dining experience with massive wood-fired pizza ovens and a pasta lab with dishes prepared fresh daily by Italian-trained chefs. Veranda is an al fresco extension of Farena located under a covered patio. Tomar El Sol, translated to “drink up the sun,” is located poolside, a market, and a coffee shop. A pan-Asian fusion concept by Berg Hospitality, Soy Cowboy, will open mid-year.

    More to Come

A third Loews Arlington property will be opening in September 2026. The City of Arlington in December released the project overview of the third Loews property. This hotel will replace the existing Sheraton Arlington, with the groundbreaking expected to take place in December 2025.

The $410 million project will add a minimum of 25,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and 500 or more upscale guest rooms. The expected economic output is estimated at $3.1 billion over the next 30 years. The city and county will take in $711 million in net benefits for the same period. The new property will create 250 new permanent jobs – along with 1,200 construction jobs involved in the build.
